Biography
- Stephanie T. Chung, MBBS, was born and raised in Kingston, Jamaica and received her MBBS (Hons) from the University of the West Indies Medical School. She is a board-certified physician in internal medicine, pediatrics and pediatric endocrinology. Dr. Chung completed her residency training at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, and her fellowship training at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.
In 2013, she joined the Intramural Program of National Institute of Diabetes & Digestive & Kidney Diseases at The National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD, and established a joint NIDDK/Children’s National Hospital youth-onset Type 2 diabetes research program. She is a Lasker Clinical Investigator, an NIH Distinguished Scholar, co-director of the NIDDK Metabolic Research Program and has adjunct professor appointments at George Washington University and John’s Hopkins University. Dr. Chung’s research program investigates metabolic mechanisms of diabetes risk and management in women, youth and young adults.

Biography
Roma Majmudar, RD, LDN, is an outpatient dietitian in the Endocrinology and Diabetes Department at Children's National Hospital. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Delaware and completed her dietetic internship with Community Support Services. Roma has previous experience in weight management and providing nutrition care for chronic conditions such as Type 2 diabetes, hypertension, and high cholesterol.
