Joint Accreditation Announcement

Children’s National is proud to announce that we have achieved Joint Accreditation, an ability to provide continuing education across professions. Through an account at ce.childrensnational.org, healthcare professionals can obtain continuing education credits in nursing, medicine, pharmacy, psychology and social work.

Medical Education Transition

User accounts have not migrated over from INOVA’s Continuing Medical Education website. All users will need to create a profile on the Children's National platform by following the steps below:

  • Go to: https://ce.childrensnational.org.
  • In the top right, click Login.
  • Login via SSO (CNH faculty) or visitor (non-CNH faculty).
  • Complete user profile by clicking on My Account.

Important Notes for Claiming Credit

  • Credit claiming window will open 30 minutes after the start time of the session and will remain open for 60 days after the session. 
  • Credit claiming is only available via the session code. Session code will be provided during the educational activity. 
  • Learners have two options:

For those that have an INOVA CME account, don’t forget to download your CME Transcript:

All users are advised to download and/or print their transcript to maintain their records from the INOVA CME Portal.

Continuing Education

Through the Joint Accreditation team, continuing educational activities are available for physicians, nurses, advanced practice providers, pharmacists, pharmacy techs, psychologists, and social workers in addition to many interprofessional activities where team members plan together to learn together.

We offer continuing education programs for nurses throughout the year. These on-site, off-site and online programs enhance professional development in nursing practice, education, administration, and research, all of which positively impact patient care outcomes and patient safety.
