This conference will provide participants with updates and current knowledge on selected topics concerning the care of acutely ill pediatric patients. Topics are chosen to have particular relevance to urgent and emergency care.
Congenital Heart Valve Repair Symposium
This symposium centers on the surgical and diagnostic techniques of heart valve repairs. It comprises six sessions, with expert speakers and helpful discussions with an active audience. All techniques will be centered around individual video case presentations.
Topics include: the balance between aortic valve repair and Ross, late AV valve reoperation, mitral valve, and MRI techniques.
ECMO and the Advanced Therapies for Respiratory Failure Symposium
This symposium will address the educational needs of pediatric healthcare providers involved in care of the neonatal or pediatric patient in respiratory and/or cardiovascular failure. State-of-the-art presentations on the use and latest technologies related to neonatal, pediatric, and adult ECMO, nitric oxide and state-of-the-art ventilation techniques will be presented.
Pediatric Board Review Course
The Pediatric Board Review Course is designed and recommended for physicians preparing for either certification or the re-certification examination of the American Board of Pediatrics in General Pediatrics.
