Biography
Evan Sheppard, MD, obtained his medical degree from Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. He then completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of Alabama, Birmingham and went on to complete a fellowship in pediatric orthopaedics at Children's National Hospital. Dr. Sheppard strongly believes that innovation and education drives quality and has authored many peer reviewed articles, presented at national meetings and was a Joseph E. Robert, Jr. fellow in pediatric surgical innovation at Children's National Hospital. He also routinely participates in resident education, giving lectures to the orthopaedic residents at Georgetown, George Washington, Howard and Walter Reed.
Outside of the hospital, Dr. Sheppard enjoys spending time with his wife and son. They love taking advantage of the great activities for toddlers in the area, such as the National Zoo and the museums on the Mall.
