Children’s National announces new senior leadership appointments

Children’s National has named new senior leaders to key roles, strengthening the organization’s leadership across community pediatrics, neuroscience and behavioral medicine, enterprise-wide clinical strategy, and marketing and communications. 
 
These appointments reflect the hospital’s continued commitment to excellence in patient care, research, innovation and strategic growth.  
 
Cara Biddle, MD, MPH, has been appointed senior vice president, Community Pediatrics. A member of the Children’s National team since 2005, Dr. Biddle has demonstrated sustained leadership in advancing community-based pediatric care and strengthening access to services for children and families across the region.   
 
She has held several key leadership roles, including medical director of the Children’s Health Center and division chief of General Pediatrics and Community Health. Dr. Biddle is also the Diane and Norman Bernstein Professor of Community Pediatrics. 
 
Robert Keating, MD, has been appointed senior vice president of the Neuroscience and Behavioral Medicine Center. He has been a dedicated surgeon and physician leader at Children’s National for nearly 30 years, bringing extensive clinical and academic leadership experience to this role. 
 
He also serves as the David McCullough Distinguished Professor of Neurosurgery and will continue to lead the hospital’s top-ranked Division of Pediatric Neurosurgery while overseeing the continued growth and integration of neuroscience and behavioral medicine programs across the institution.

Meghan Delaney, DO, MPH, has been appointed associate chief clinical officer, a newly created role designed to strengthen clinical strategy, physician engagement, and enterprise-wide operational collaboration across Children’s National. Dr. Delaney also serves as the hospital’s division chief of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine and director of Transfusion Medicine in the Cancer and Blood Disorders Center.  

Angela McPike has been appointed senior vice president and chief Marketing and Communications officer. She brings significant experience from Texas Children’s, where she spent nearly five years as senior vice president of Marketing and Public Relations, as well as prior roles at Tenet Healthcare, HCA and Chesapeake Regional Healthcare.

In her role, McPike will lead marketing and communications strategy for Children's National, advancing the organization’s brand, reputation and engagement with families, partners and the broader community.
