President and CEO

Michelle Riley-Brown, MHA, FACHE, is the president and chief executive officer of Children's National. Children's National is ranked among the top 10 in the nation on the U.S. News & World Report 2025-26 Best Children's Hospitals annual rankings. She brings over two decades of pediatric healthcare expertise and hospital leadership to the role. 
Cara Biddle

Cara Larson Biddle, MD, MPH

Senior Vice President, Community Pediatrics

Cara Biddle, MD, MPH, who joined Children’s National in 2005, is senior vice president, Community Pediatrics, continuing her strong leadership of community-based care. She previously served as medical director of the Children’s Health Center and division chief of General Pediatrics and Community Health. Dr. Biddle also serves as the Diane and Norman Bernstein Professor of Community Pediatrics.
Catherine Bollard

Catherine Mary Bollard, MD, MB ChB

Senior Vice President and Chief Research Officer, Children's National Hospital

Catherine Bollard, MD, MBChB, is the senior vice president and chief research officer at Children's National and director of the Center for Cancer and Immunology Research. A distinguished hematologist, immunologist and immunotherapist, she leads clinical and research efforts to fight cancer and other inflammatory diseases.

Cicely CC Brooks, DNP-ENL, MSN, RN, NE-BC, FAB

Senior Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer

Cicely “CC” Brooks, DNP-ENL, MSN, RN, NE-BC, FAB, brings more than 25 years of leadership experience across inpatient, outpatient and specialty services in pediatric and adult care. Her work has included oversight of nursing, pharmacy and behavioral health services, with a strong focus on quality, safety, workforce development and patient-centered care.

Gina M. Cronin

Gina M. Cronin, MHA, FACHE

Executive Vice President and Chief People Officer

Gina M. Cronin, MHA, FACHE, serves as executive vice president and chief people officer at Children’s National, overseeing all human resources functions and plays a critical role in attracting and retaining skilled healthcare professionals. She previously held the position of chief talent officer for the Cleveland Clinic Health System.
Meghan Delaney

Meghan Delaney, DO, MPH

Associate Chief Clinical Officer

Meghan Delaney, DO, MPH, focuses on advancing clinical strategy, strengthening physician engagement, supporting operations and leading enterprise-wide initiatives in close partnership with the chief clinical officer and Centers of Excellence leadership. She also serves as division chief of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine and director of Transfusion Medicine, in the Cancer and Blood Disorders Center.

Jeffrey Dome

Jeffrey Stuart Dome, MD, PHD

Senior Vice President, Cancer and Blood Disorders Center

Jeffrey Dome, MD, PhD, is the senior vice president of the Cancer and Blood Disorders Center at Children's National and a professor of pediatrics at the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. He is an internationally recognized expert on pediatric solid tumors, particularly kidney tumors and sarcomas.
Wayne J. Franklin

Wayne J. Franklin, MD, MBA

Senior Vice President, Heart and Lung Center

Wayne Franklin, MD, MBA, FACC, is the senior vice president of the Heart and Lung Center, overseeing a wide range of cardiac services. Dr. Franklin's research focuses on adults with congenital heart disease, particularly single ventricle-Fontan physiology, neurocognitive outcomes, pulmonary hypertension, cardiac disease in pregnancy and transition medicine.

Mary Anne Hilliard, Esq, RN, FAAN, executive vice president, chief legal officer and general counsel, oversees a wide range of functions at Children’s National, including legal services, risk management and compliance. In addition to being a lawyer, Hilliard is also a registered nurse and has led initiatives focused on improving patient safety outcomes.

Senior Vice President and Chief of Operations

Percival I. Kane, Jr., MHA, is the senior vice president and chief of operations at Children’s National. He plays a critical role in advancing the hospital’s long-term strategic vision and operational excellence. He joined Children’s National from University Hospitals (UH) Ahuja Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio, where he served as chief operating officer.
Robert Keating

Robert Francis Keating, MD

Senior Vice President, Neuroscience and Behavioral Medicine Center

Robert Keating, MD, has been serving as a dedicated surgeon and physician leader at Children’s National for nearly 30 years. Dr. Keating also serves as the David McCullough Distinguished Professor of Neurosurgery. He leads our top-ranked division of Pediatric Neurosurgery while shaping the growth and direction of our neuroscience and behavioral medicine programs.

Nathan Kuppermann, MD

Executive Vice President and Chief Academic Officer; Director, Children's National Research Institute; Department Chair, Pediatrics, George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences

Nathan Kuppermann, MD, MPH, is executive vice president, chief academic officer of Children's National and director of the Children's National Research Institute. He is a pediatric emergency medicine physician, clinical epidemiologist and leader in emergency medical services for children, with more than 325 peer-reviewed publications.

Ethan Leonard, MD, MBA, is the senior vice president for the Hospital Based Specialties (HBS) Center of Excellence at Children’s National. He oversees the clinical, operational, strategic and academic priorities for HBS.

Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer

Matt MacVey, MBA, serves as chief information officer at Children’s National, where he leads the Information Services team and is responsible for the organization's IT strategy, operations and cybersecurity. Anthony Sandler, MD, is senior vice president and surgeon-in-chief of the Joseph E. Robert, Jr., Center for Surgical Care and the director of the Sheikh Zayed Institute for Pediatric Surgical Innovation. Dr. Sandler is internationally known for his work on childhood solid tumors and operative repair of certain congenital anomalies of the gastrointestinal tract.
