Yash Shah, MD, is an adolescent medicine fellow at Children's National Hospital. He completed his undergraduate degree in psychology at George Washington University in Washington, D.C., and completed his medical school degree at St. George's University School of Medicine in the Caribbean. He completed his pediatric residency training back home in New Jersey at St. Peter's University Hospital, where he developed a passion for caring for adolescents and marginalized youth.
Dr. Shah’s clinical interests include caring for teens with eating disorders, substance use disorders and caring for adolescents who have been hospitalized requiring inpatient care. He is very active in both state and federal advocacy efforts, working with both the Society for Adolescent Health and Medicine and the American Academy of Pediatrics to promote child wellbeing in this space. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling, hiking, movies and exploring the surrounding DMV area.
