Rotations

A Three-year Breakdown of Rotation Requirements

    • 4 week orientation (buddy call with senior fellows, ECMO course , communication bootcamp, and  simulation boot camp) 
    • 30 weeks of clinical time in the PICU and CICU (including 2 weeks of anesthesia experience) 
    • 2 weeks of interventional radiology 
    • 12 weeks of research 
    • 4 weeks of vacation 

    Call Responsibilities

    Currently, PICU call responsibilities are every 4th day during clinical months. Fellows will have minimal call responsibilities during their research months to allow them to focus on scholarly activities.  There is also a second fellow on night service in the PICU during most months of the year. CICU calls are night floats and incorporated on service time.
