Pulmonology Fellowship

The Pediatric Pulmonology Fellowship at Children’s National Hospital offers an exceptional opportunity to train at one of the nation’s leading children’s hospitals. This three-year ACGME-accredited program prepares physicians to become outstanding clinicians, educators and researchers in pediatric pulmonary medicine. Based in Washington, D.C., our program serves a diverse patient population and emphasizes excellence in patient care, academic growth and leadership development.

The clinical program is based at Children’s National, a 323-bed freestanding, tertiary care pediatric hospital located in Washington, D.C. As a major referral center, Children’s National serves patients from across the District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia and surrounding states. Our facility includes 54 neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) beds, 47 pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) beds and 26 cardiac intensive care unit (CICU) beds. Located in the heart of the nation’s capital, the hospital provides care to a diverse and multicultural patient population.

  • To develop competence in the pathophysiology, diagnosis and treatment of respiratory disorders in infants, children and adolescents.
  • To develop expertise in the selection, performance and evaluation of procedures necessary for morphologic and physiologic assessment of pulmonary diseases.
