How to Apply
Children's National Hospital will be participating in the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) and the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) for those applying for the fellowship beginning July 1, 2027. Please note that beginning this application cycle, we will be participating in ERAS signaling.

Application Information
Please including the following documents when applying:
- ERAS application
- Curriculum vitae (CV)
- Four letters of reference
- Please note that we require four traditional letters of recommendation, including from residency directors and cardiologists. The residency director (or associate director) and cardiologist letters must be accompanied by the appropriate standard letter of evaluation form found on the ERAS website.
- Personal statement*
- A recent photo of the applicant
*Each year, we receive applications from more qualified applicants than we can interview. If Washington, D.C. or Children’s National Hospital is an ideal destination for personal or professional reasons, please include this information in your personal statement.
