Children’s National Hospital Division of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine, which is CLIA-certified and accredited by the College of American Pathologists (CAP) and Association of the Advancement of Blood and Biotherapies (AABB), offers clinical laboratory and pathology services. The Division uses state-of-the-art technologies and has a team of experts in the diagnosis and laboratory monitoring of pediatric diseases.

Blood Donor Center

The center is located in room 2302 on the second floor of the main hospital.

Hours of Operation

Monday through Friday: 7 a.m. – 4 p.m.

  • Last platelet appointment is 2 p.m.
  • Last blood appointment is 3:30 p.m.

Every second and fourth Saturday: 8 a.m. – 3 p.m.

  • Last platelet appointment is 1:30 p.m.
  • Last blood appointment is 2:30 p.m.
