Chief Nursing Officer Linda Talley Touts Award-Winning Evidence-Based Interdisciplinary Team

In an interview with HealthLeaders Media, Children’s National Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer Linda Talley, MS, BSN, RN, NE-BC, touted success of its interdisciplinary 7 East Nursing Unit, which recently won a Beacon Award for Excellence from the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses for its patient care. The more than 100 RNs on 7 East, a 50-bed acute care unit, has been working on improving every facet of patient care by utilizing evidence-based practices, according to Talley and Debbie Freiburg, MS, RN, director of Medical Nursing and Patient and Family Education Program at Children’s National.
