<p>Learn about diagnostic tools, forced oscillation technique versus spirometry and other current pulmonary diagnostic topics at this one-day summer seminar.</p>

The Pulmonary Department at Children's National has partnered with MGC Diagnostics to offer a unique one-day summer symposium. This symposium will provide up to 5 CEUs. Attendees can advance their knowledge and skills in the area of pulmonary and cardiopulmonary diagnostics testing.

Specific topics will include:

  • FOT testing vs. spirometry
  • DLCO in review
  • Lung volume measurement using plethysmography or nitrogen washout (to include LCI measurement)
  • Quality control and quality assurance
  • Diagnostic tools used for pediatric patients with severe asthma

Members and nonmembers are welcome to attend. Proof of membership in the American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC), Virginia Society for Respiratory Care and/or the Maryland/DC Society for Respiratory Care is required at time of registration.

Light refreshments will be provided.
