<p>The Center for Translational Research presents the Enrichment Series featuring Susan Persky, Ph.D., who will be discussing the function of new genomic knowledge of common health conditions in interactions between providers and patients.</p>

Susan Persky, Ph.D., is presenting “Informing Genomic Medicine Using Virtual Reality” on the December CTR Enrichment Series. This event is co-hosted by the Bioenergetics Special Interest Group (SIG) and the Behavioral and Community Research SIG. Dr. Persky is the Associate Investigator and Unit Head of the Communication, Attitudes and Behavior Unit and Immerse Virtual Environment Testing Area, Social and Behavioral Research Branch, National Human Genome Research Institute of the National Institute of Health. Her work investigates the function of new genomic knowledge about common health conditions like obesity and diabetes in interactions between health care provider and patients.
