Our speaker, Lisa Simpson, M.B., B.Ch., M.P.H., F.A.A.P., has been the President and Chief Executive Officer of Academy Health since 2011. A nationally recognized health policy researcher and pediatrician, she is a passionate advocate for the translation of research into policy and practice. Her research, and over 90 articles and commentaries in peer reviewed journals, focuses on the role of evidence and data to improve health and healthcare, particularly for children and vulnerable populations.

This lecture for the 10th Annual Research, Education and Innovation Week is hosted by Lisa M. Guay-Woodford, M.D., and the Center for Translational Research (CTR).

Objectives:

  • Describe the key focus areas of health services research (HSR).
  • List priority areas for future pediatric health services research.
  • Translate key HSR concepts to their work.
