PrestIgE Study

Please note: The prestIgE study is for patients ages 12 to 21 with food allergies to peanuts, milk, eggs, cashews and/or walnuts.

About the Study

We are inviting adolescents and young adults who are allergic to at least one of the following: peanuts, milk, eggs, cashews and /or walnuts. We are studying the efficacy (how well It works) and safety of an investigational medicine known as RPT904 (ozureprubart).  It’s similar to omalizumab (Xolair) but designed to last longer and work for more patients.

Who can participate?

  • Age: 12–21 years old
  • Allergic to: Peanuts, milk, eggs, cashews and/or walnuts
  • Location: Children’s National Hospital, main campus, 111 Michigan Ave NW, Washington, DC 20010

What happens in the study?

You will start with screening visits, to see if you can join the study. Once you have joined the study, you will come to the clinic about once a month, to get the study medication at most of those visits. You will do three supervised food challenges during the study. The study lasts about 18 months.

Why should my child participate?

Your child can help researchers improve food allergy treatments, and participation may also reduce your child’s sensitivity to certain foods.
