- Keen interest and commitment to pediatric nursing as a future career
- Has volunteered in a hospital or healthcare setting
- Completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant Program by attaining certification or in the process of attaining certification with the Board of Nursing
- Currently enrolled in a Washington, D.C., school or program (preferred). Maryland and Virginia schools and programs will also be considered
- Graduating senior from high school in spring 2026 and undergraduate degree must be completed by Spring 2030
- GPA 3.0 or higher
- Aptitude for science and mathematics grades of B- or higher
- Applied and accepted to a college or university with an accredited nursing program that has been reviewed and approved by Conway Nursing Pathway program leader
- Demonstrated financial need using FSAFA data as one source of decision-making
High school students must be available to meet all program requirements, consisting of a paid 6-8 week summer immersion program that runs 32 hours per week no weekends or holidays. The program includes orientation, mentoring, clinical shadowing and how to be successful in college and career development.
