Children’s National Hospital offers patients and families access to innovative clinical trials for cancer and blood disorders, as well as for immunodeficiencies.

Our experts are leaders in prestigious clinical trials networks and Children’s National is one of the select institutions to belong to the Children’s Oncology Group Pediatric Early Phase Clinical Trials Network (PEPCTN), Pediatric Brain Tumor Consortium (PBTC), Therapeutic Advances in Childhood Leukemia and Lymphoma (TACL), and other consortia. Children’s National is dedicated to the mission to develop novel therapies for cancer and bring advanced clinical trials to our patients, some of which are only available at Children’s National.

Children's National is pushing the scientific boundaries of pediatric brain tumor care, using our clinical research to provide the latest, most promising treatment options to our patients. We proudly serve as members of the world’s largest and most prestigious clinical trials networks, including Children’s Brain Tumor Tissue Consortium, Pediatric Brain Tumor Consortium (PBTC), Pacific Pediatric Neuro-Oncology Consortium (PNOC) and the DoD NF Clinical Trials Consortium (NFCTC). Our experts lead some of the most prestigious pediatric solid tumor research in the country both through consortia such as the Pediatric Early Phase Clinical Trial Network (PEPCTN) and Sarcoma Alliance for Research through Collaboration (SARC), as well as Children’s National sponsored trials for solid tumors with cellular therapy and high intensity focused ultrasound. Open Blood and Marrow Transplant Studies

As a participating center in the NIH-funded BMT Clinical Trials Network, our patients have access to prestigious national clinical trials. We also participate in the Center for International BMT Research and the Pediatric Blood and Marrow Transplant Consortium, working with international colleagues to improve treatment and quality of life for transplant patients.
