Advanced Practice Graduate Nursing Clinical Rotation Students

All perspective and returning students interested in completing a clinical rotation at Children’s National, must have a current affiliate agreement. See the Graduate Nursing Affiliate Schools for our list of current schools.

All clinical rotation requests must be submitted through myClinicalExchange (mCE), our web-based automated platform to operate, administer and manage our placement program.

Please note: 

• Student placement options must be discussed with the clinical faculty before submission to ensure the request meets clinical course requirements. 
• Students and school coordinators should NOT contact preceptors directly.
• Rank your top 5 rotations in order of preference in the comments section of the application. These preferences are not guaranteed but are taken into consideration.
• Please make a separate mCE request for each specialty rotation with the total hours needed for the semester. Please be sure to note in the comment if you are willing to split your hours within multiple departments.
• Availability for rotations will vary per semester. 
• Clinical placement is competitive and not guaranteed with submission of an application.

There are multiple documents that will need to be uploaded for your individual rotation request. Be sure to follow the application prompts and upload your documents in the format that is provided.
