Brand New Children’s National Health System Southeast Primary Care Facility to Begin Seeing Patients This Month

June 14, 2016
Washington, D.C. – On June 6, 2016, Children’s National Health System opened its doors to patients and families at the new Fort Davis location in Southeast Washington, D.C.

The Children’s Pediatricians & Associates Naylor Road practice has relocated to 3839 ½ Alabama Avenue SE, Washington, D.C. This move and opening is the first in a series of Southeast relocation initiatives that will provide primary care services in an updated space with more convenient locations. The new site will allow more families in Wards 7 and 8 to access Children’s physicians with more convenient hours, safer parking options, and easy access from nearby metro bus stops. Director of the practice, Lisa Rainey, M.D., and her team, will offer well child care and urgent care services for infants, adolescents and teenagers.

“We are fully dedicated to bringing accessible, quality medical care to our patients and their families. The new and spacious building, extended hours, and expanded areas of clinical services allow us to continue to improve access and care,” said Denice Cora-Bramble, M.D., MBA, Chief Medical Officer and Executive Vice President, Ambulatory and Community Health Services.

As the largest primary care provider for the District’s children, Children’s National is committed to addressing all the important factors in a child’s healthy development and well-being. The new Fort Davis location is one of the many ways in which Children’s continues to offer the highest quality pediatric care to the community, helping healthy kids grow into healthy adults. In addition to Fort Davis, a new Anacostia location will open in July, and plans for the clinical service expansion of THEARC are underway for 2017.

Fort Davis hours of operation: Monday – Friday: 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., Saturday: 8:30 a.m. – noon EST.
