Children’s National Hospital, located in the nation’s capital, serves as the primary site for training. It is a free-standing, tertiary care children’s hospital with a Level I trauma center. We have an annual census of 120,000 patients between the two campuses, seeing a very diverse patient population and spectrum of illness. Our staff include 50 pediatric emergency medicine faculty, and additional cohort of pediatric associates, physician assistants and nurse practitioners.
Washington, D.C. is a wonderful place to live, with all the seasons, and easy access to hiking, biking, skiing on the mountains and relaxing at the beach. The culture of the area is fun and easy going, with excellent restaurants and loads of cultural goings on, and free access to world class museums. There are 3 airports to take you anywhere you’d like to go.
