IMPACT DC Asthma Clinic

Community Outreach and Education Programs

IMPACT DC Asthma Clinic is committed to increasing asthma awareness and providing evidence-based asthma educational outreach throughout the Washington, D.C. region.

Our outreach program focuses on the following areas:

Many children spend most of their day in school or daycare, where asthma can have a major impact on their attendance, ability to learn and participation in normal activities. We work closely with school nurses, teachers, parents and other caregivers to better identify, assess, and manage asthma in these settings, as well as assist them in reducing common triggers in these environments.

IMPACT DC partners with the Child Health Advocacy Institute, Children’s School Services and serves on the Health Advisory Board of the Educare and the Edward C. Mazique Parent Child Center.

We are proud to be listed as an approved trainer with the Office of the State Superintendent of Education to provide accredited asthma workshops for daycare and school staff working with young children.
