Sherice Richardson, D.O., was born and raised in Portsmouth, Virginia. In 2006, she graduated from Lincoln University in Lincoln, Pennsylvania. with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry. In 2012, Dr. Richardson obtained a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree from the Edward Via Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Blacksburg, VA. She completed a pediatric residency training at Sinai Children’s Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland, in 2015. Next, she joined a practice in southern Maryland where she started her professional career as a primary care pediatrician. Dr. Richardson practiced there until July 2017, and left to join Children’s National Pediatricians and Associates (CPNA) in Bowie, Maryland.
Dr. Richardson has a special interest in childhood obesity, which she honed during residency training. Noting the increased prevalence of childhood obesity in her patient population, she developed a desire to educate her patients about the importance of living a healthy lifestyle.
Dr. Richardson loves to spend family time with her husband, Allen Richardson, and their three sons. They travel often and enjoy hosting family gatherings. Her hobbies include planning events, interior decorating, completing Do-It-Yourself (DIY) projects and watching HGTV in her spare time.
