Sajithya "Saji" Perera, M.D., is a pediatric hospitalist in the Division of Hospital Medicine at Children’s National Hospital. She is passionate about QI, pediatric global health and global health medical education.
A graduate of Eastern Virginia Medical School, Dr. Perera completed her medical training at the Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters in Norfolk, VA. Following residency, she pursued a pediatric global health fellowship through Boston Children’s Hospital, during which time she worked with the non-profit Partners in Health to support capacity-building in a district hospital in Haiti. She was also the co-investigator of a pilot early childhood development program targeting malnourished children in the community. Dr. Perera has additional experience leading global health education programs, particularly in graduate medical education. Nationally, she serves on the AAP ICATCH (International Community Access to Child Health) team, as well as the CUGH (Consortium of Universities for Global Health) Graduate Medical Education Working Group.
