Sivabalaji Kaliamurthy, M.D., is a child and adolescent addiction psychiatrist. Originally from Chennai, India, he moved to the U.S. after graduating from Rajah Muthiah Medical College. He completed his general psychiatry residency and child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at the Institute of Living/Hartford Hospital in Connecticut. He served as chief resident during his final fellowship year. He subsequently completed a fellowship in addiction psychiatry at Yale University. While in Connecticut, he was well known for his role in educating clinicians, school systems and parents on the harms of vaping in adolescents.
Dr. Kaliamurthy is passionate about the prevention and treatment of substance use disorders, the treatment of co-occurring ADHD and substance use disorders and understanding the role of digital technology in mental health.
