Sameeya Ahmed-Winston, CPNP-PC, is a pediatric nurse practitioner with the Blood and Marrow Transplantation Program. She also serves as the Team Lead for the Advanced Practice Providers for the Divisions of Allergy/Immunology, Blood and Marrow Transplantation, and Rheumatology. Sameeya completed her undergraduate nursing education at North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University. Since the start of her nursing career in 2002, she has been dedicated to the field of pediatric blood and marrow transplant. She received her Master’s Degree as an Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner from Duke University.
Sameeya’s clinical interests include long-term follow up, fertility preservation and the education of pediatric bone marrow transplant recipients. She has devoted a large portion of her career to educating novice nurses and advanced practice providers. She is also focused on the care of patients with sickle cell disease, immunodeficiencies, and other blood disorders undergoing hematopoietic stem cell transplant.
