Molly Basch (she/her), Ph.D., is a child psychologist with a specialization in pediatric psychology at Children’s National Hospital and assistant professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences and Pediatrics at the George Washington University School of Medicine & Health Sciences. She earned her degree from the University of Florida Clinical & Health Psychology program and completed a psychology internship and fellowship at Children’s National Hospital. Currently, she works in the Division of Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine at Children’s National, specifically the Youth Pride Clinic. Her role in this clinic is to provide a range of behavioral health services for gender-diverse youth ages 12-21 and their families. In addition to this role, Dr. Basch also provides behavioral health services for youth experiencing obesity and pursuing bariatric surgery for health management and conducts behavioral research. Her personal research interests include understanding factors associated with health outcomes of youth holding marginalized identities and implementing clinical interventions to promote resilience. Dr. Basch is a member of the American Psychological Association, the Society of Pediatric Psychology, and the World Professional Association of Transgender Health.
