Maislyn Christie, M.D., is originally from Jamaica. She graduated from Howard University with a B.S. in zoology (with honors) and Howard University College of Medicine (with honors). She completed a pediatric residency and adolescent medicine fellowship at Children’s National Health System. Dr. Christie is board certified in general pediatrics. Immediately after her training, she served as both Director of Adolescent Medicine at D.C. General Hospital and Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Howard University. She has worked in private practice in Cheverly, Md., since 1994.
Dr. Christie cherishes mentoring opportunities with her adolescent patients, and has enriched the lives of children both locally and internationally. Since 2008, Dr. Christie has participated in a number of medical mission trips to the Caribbean and Central America. In her spare time, Dr. Christie enjoys reading and gardening.
