Biography

Julie Newman, Ph.D., is an attending Pediatric Neuropsychologist at Children’s National Hospital and an Assistant Professor in the Departments of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences and Pediatrics at George Washington University. Dr. Newman completed her doctoral training in Clinical Psychology at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan before joining Children’s National for a post-doctoral fellowship in Pediatric Neuropsychology, and ultimately joined the faculty in 2011. Dr. Newman specializes in assessing children and adolescents with a variety of neurological, complex medical, and developmentally based difficulties which affect learning/school performance and emotional functioning.
