Jacob Schick, CAA, is a certified anesthesiologist assistant with Children’s National Hospital's anesthesia team. Schick comes from Columbus, Ohio, where he was raised and attended The Ohio State University, majoring in neuroscience and psychology. Following graduation, he spent time as a research assistant with Ohio State’s Center for Minimally Invasive Surgery and then as an anesthesia technician at Nationwide Children’s Hospital.
Schick is one of Children's several Case Western Reserve’s Masters of Science in anesthesia graduates whose initial training was completed in-house at Children’s National and next door at MedStar Washington Hospital Center. Outside of the operating room, he enjoys volleyball, long-distance running, kayaking and fiction writing.
