Cecilia Rowland, EdD, earned her doctorate in Counseling Psychology from Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey. She has been practicing psychology for 20 years and the majority of her work has been in providing treatment to children and their families. Prior to coming to Children’s National, she was a psychologist at the Yale Child Study Center in New Haven, Conn., where she provided home-based therapy and supervision to both staff and doctoral and master’s level students. In addition, she provided outpatient therapy services to both adults and children in New Haven through the Integrated Wellness Group. Her passion is to empower children and parents and to provide holistic care. She came to Washington, DC, to be close to her children and grandchildren.
