The 2nd Annual Nursing Research & Quality Outcomes Day 2015
The Nursing Research and Quality Outcomes department hosted the its 2nd Annual Nursing Research and Quality Outcomes Day on April 24 during the Research and Education Week hosted annually by the Children's Research Institute. The event brought together experts representing multiple disciplines to share the advances, innovations and methods used to improve patient and family care. The day-long event was held at Children's National in Washington, D.C., Barbara Frink, Ph.D., R.N., F.A.A.N., Vice President and Chief Nursing Information Officer for MedStar Health gave the keynote address and Nancy Crego, Ph.D., R.N., Assistant Professor, School of Nursing Duke University presented her study that explored R.N. sedation practices in Radiology. One of the highlights of the day included an interactive poster café featuring many of the scholarly nursing projects.
