COVID-19 Changes: Unfortunately, we will not be accepting requests for elective rotations. Read more below.

Visiting Residents and Fellows

In keeping with guidelines from the ACGME and the Association of Pediatric Program Directors during the COVID-19 pandemic, Children’s National is not accepting any visiting trainees on elective rotations for the 2020-2021 academic year. We wish you the best.

Children's National is one of the most respected and most desired pediatric training centers in the country. We care for over 360,000 patients each year and are a proven leader in the development and application of innovative new treatments for childhood illness and injury.

Our educational mission supports preparing pediatric caregivers, both within and beyond our walls, to practice outstanding pediatric medicine in the 21st century.

Application Process

Graduate Medical Education welcomes all eligible residents and fellows to apply for visiting rotations. Once accepted by the department, rotators will receive an online application to complete through the MedHub platform. It is important to note that applications can take up to six weeks to approve.

If you have any questions regarding the Visiting Resident and Fellow process at Children’s National, please contact the Graduate Medical Education Office by email or call us at 202-476-5694 .
