Colorectal Research Fellowship

The Pediatric Colorectal Research Fellowship is a 1-2 year program that accepts two clinical fellows and one research fellow per year. During the fellowship, fellows conduct research on the treatment and long-term outcomes of patients with pediatric colorectal problems, which may also include surgical assistant responsibilities. Based on the fellow's interests, collaboration with our basic science colleagues in the area of tissue engineering will be encouraged and fostered.

The Division of Pediatric Colorectal & Pelvic Reconstruction at Children’s National Hospital formally integrates all specialties involved in providing complete care of the colon, rectum and pelvis in kids, including colorectal surgery, urology, gynecology and GI motility. This environment provides a unique experience for Pediatric Colorectal Research fellows.
