Biography
Gelila Chanie, B.S., C.P.S.T., joined Safe Kids DC at Children’s National Hospital as a community health education specialist. She is a graduate of George Mason University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in community health. As a community health education specialist, Gelila is dedicated to promoting health awareness, fostering community empowerment and implementing evidence-based strategies to prevent injuries and enhance overall well-being. With a strong passion for improving community well-being, Gelila's education and experiences have equipped her with valuable knowledge in various aspects of public health, health promotion and injury prevention.
