Frequently Asked Questions About the PSV Transition
-
As the leaders of PSV began planning for the future, it became evident that change was necessary to strengthen and sustain the practice. We believe this change will enable PSV to focus on and strengthen the specialties that will continue to operate within the PSV model while also allowing both Children’s National and Inova Children’s to align the services that are transitioning to their organization’s individual pediatric strategies.
-
Inova Children’s and Children’s National leadership teams jointly developed inclusion criteria for the specialties that should remain in Pediatric Specialists of Virginia. These criteria included factors like an existing strong collaboration between the two organizations, inherent clinical interdependency, shared patient populations with frequent interaction across both institutions’ inpatient and ancillary spaces, and where a combined effort is necessary to achieve a common goal.

PSV, Children’s National and Inova Children’s are working collaboratively to help primary care pediatricians through this transition. We will be communicating with you regularly on the progress of the transition, including publishing a document that shows where physicians are going, how to contact them and who the key contacts at each organization are to help troubleshoot issues as they arise.
