“My daughter Jaclyn was born severely premature with multiple complications. We spent 87 days in the NICU and several years seeing doctors across many fields. Our family owes Children's National everything and could never adequately express our gratitude. Starting Heartsongs in 2001, and later Teens with Heartsongs, was our small way of giving thanks and ensuring the hospital and its extraordinary team of people were supported to the greatest extent possible. Heartsongs is about gratitude and hope not just from our family but our entire community. “

“Ten years ago, a group from our church wanted to look beyond the church walls to further our benevolence efforts. We researched several charity options and none seemed to be right for us. We began to research Children's National, and it was just what we were looking for. We learned that we could contribute to a special fund called that paid medical benefits for uninsured children. We enjoy our partnership with Children's National and appreciate the opportunity to contribute to the health and wellness of patients there.”
