Children’s National Named To 2008 Leapfrog Best Hospitals List


Children’s National Medical Center is honored to be one of only seven children’s hospitals in the country named to The Leapfrog Group's 2008 Top Hospitals, based on results from the Leapfrog Hospital Quality and Safety Survey. Children’s National is the only pediatric hospital selected from the Mid-Atlantic region to receive this designation, which recognizes the hospital’s commitment to patient care quality and safety.

Children’s National Celebrates Expansion of Research Facility

Children’s National Medical Center’s academic arm, Children’s Research Institute (CRI), dedicated new research facilities on November 24, increasing the space of one of the nation’s top pediatric research facilities to more than 100,000 square feet. Local officials and scientific leaders from the community joined the faculty of Children’s National to dedicate the space.

Dr. Bear’s University Hosts Maryland Delegates

Elected officials and community and business leaders from across the region visited Children’s National Medical Center on October 27 to participate in Dr. Bear’s University, a mini-internship program designed to provide participants with an in-depth behind-the-scenes experience at Children’s National.
