Research Interests
Gilbert Vézina, MD, is a professor of Radiology and Pediatrics at George Washington University and the director of the program in Neuroradiology at Children’s National Medical Center. Dr. Vézina joined the staff of Children’s in 1990. He is a graduate of McGill Medical School and did radiology and neuroradiology training at Massachusetts General Hospital (Harvard University, Boston, MA). Dr. Vézina is a nationally recognized authority in pediatric neuroradiology and a past president of the American Society of Pediatric Neuroradiology. He has more than 75 publications on pediatric neuroradiology in journals and books. His clinical and research interests include malformations of the central nervous system, tumors of the brain and spinal cord, neurofibromatosis, tuberous sclerosis, trauma, epilepsy imaging, neonatal imaging and radiology of the temporal bone.
