Research Interests
Hewang Li, MD, PhD is Research Assistant Professor at the Children’s National Medical Center and the George Washington University School of Medicine.
Dr. Li received an MD degree from Benbu Medical College, Anhui, China and a PhD degree in Medical Science at the Beijing Medical University, China. He studied cell biology at the Max-Planck Institute fur Biochemie at Martinsried, Germany. He was a research fellow at the National Institutes of Health at Bethesda, MD where he the regulation of vesicle trafficking by ADP-ribosylation factors at the Johns Hopkins University where he studied the regulation of antigen presentation. Dr. Li studies the role of reactive oxygen production in the mitochondria in the pathogenesis of hypertension.
