Research Interests
Dr. Wang is a trained
biomedical engineer with extensive experience in advanced
bioinformatics, mathematics, engineering, and statistics. Dr. Wang's
priamary research objectives and interest is applying advanced
mathematics and engineering methods to solve biological problems,
including high dimensional genomic data mining, gene selection,
molecular classification using neural networks, and genetic network
reconstruction, etc. Dr. Wang's current research focuses on developing
computational approaches in systems biology and large scale
heterogeneous genomic data integration using advanced statistical and
computational methods in signal processing, dynamic system control and
probabilistic graphical model. Research topics include muscle diseases,
asthma, and mechanism of glucocorticoid drugs in treating muscular
dystrophy and asthma.
