Research Interests
Dr. Payne's research
focuses on adding clarity to the impact of puberty and gender
differences on disease. Her current research examies the role of sex
steroid hormones in asthma, with the hypothesis that sex steroid
hormones influence the amount of inflammation in the asthmatic
epithelium.
