Research Interests
Dr. Iqbal conducts
research on vitamin D levels and association with asthma severity and
asthma control in children with asthma aged 6-20 years. In addition to
collecting phenotypic and laboratory information on participants, Dr.
Iqbal examines the mechanism of action of vitamin D in chronic control
and acute severity of asthma among urban youth using tissue cultures
from participants' nasal epithelial cells.
