Research Interests
Terry J. Fry, MD, is chief of the division of Blood and Marrow Transplantation and Immunology at Children’s National Medical Center. Dr. Fry joined the staff at Children's National in 2007. He earned his undergraduate degree from Colgate University and his medical at Georgetown University followed by internship and residency at Georgetown. After serving as chief pediatric resident at Georgetown, Dr. Fry received training in Pediatric Hematology and Oncology at Johns Hopkins University. He then moved to the Pediatric Oncology Branch of the National Cancer Institute where he spent ten years developing a laboratory and clinical research program exploring the use of vaccines and adoptive cellular therapies targeting tumors to diminish the risk of relapse following allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation for cancer. Dr. Fry has an active pre-clinical research program in this area and is an investigator on a number of collaborative studies with the NIH testing these approaches in the clinic.
