Pediatric Seizure Study
By the age of 15, 4 to 8 percent of all children in the United States will experience prolonged seizures.
As a parent or healthcare provider of a child who suffers from seizures, you want to make sure your child or patient gets the best treatment. So do we. Our partnership of 14 children’s hospitals and universities across the country conducted a study to learn which of two commonly prescribed seizure medicines is best for treating seizures in children in the emergency department (ED).
From 2008 to March of 2012, a total of 310 patients were enrolled in the study to help answer this question. You can learn more about these results of our study by exploring this web site:
We would like to take this opportunity to thank you the community for your invaluable contribution through your understanding, feedback, questions and comments.
