Clinical Trials

Children’s Research Institute (CRI) is the academic arm of Children’s National Medical Center and is located on the top floors of the hospital. It includes the translational, clinical, and community research efforts of the institution. CRI conducts and promotes medical research and education programs within Children’s, leading to improved understanding, prevention, treatment, and care of childhood diseases. More than 300 scientists conduct research to better understand childhood diseases. This means that we can continually apply our findings to clinical methods at the bedside, and constantly provide world-class care for all children.

Children’s offers many opportunities for participation in research studies, including clinical trials, which evaluate the effectiveness and safety of medications or medical devices by monitoring their effects on large groups of people.

Search our database of research studies currently recruiting via the web (available by topic).

Submit an email to determine if your child qualifies for a research study.
