Center for Neuroscience

Vision Statement
To understand the development of the central nervous system and the cellular and molecular mechanisms of brain dysfunction in order to prevent or treat neurological and behavioral disorders of childhood.

Major Strategic Goals
  • Initiate new scientific directions in epilepsy.
  • Develop new basic/translational research components of the program in traumatic brain injury.
  • To expand our neuroimaging program to include autism and traumatic brain injury.
  • Develop a joint program on white matter diseases with the clinical neurosciences.
  • Recruit a mid-level investigator in epilepsy neurophysiology.
