Pediatric Health Services
The Center for Health Services and Community Research focuses much of its effort on the characterization of efficient and high quality healthcare, with a special focus on disadvantaged populations. Examples include the work of Murray M. Pollack, MD, MBA, and James M. Chamberlain, MD, on the quality of care received by ill and injured children in intensive care units and emergency departments around the nation, and the work of Mark F. Guagliardo, PhD, and Stephen J. Teach, MD, MPH, on the geospatial distribution of primary care providers in the Metropolitan DC and its relationship to primary care for asthma.
