Community-Based Studies and Interventions

The Center for Clinical and Community Research’s community-based studies seek to understand the impact of specific communities on the health of children and their families. Investigators research not only how social forces can make families more vulnerable to disease, they also investigate the social factors in a community that help to protect children and their families. Many of these studies are bi-directional, drawing on the expertise of the populations under investigation.
