Genetics and Metabolism Research

Investigators in the Center for Genetic Medicine’s genetics and metabolism program study a number of inherited disorders that cause mental retardation and developmental disabilities. In addition, the Division of Genetics and Metabolism at Children's National, which provides diagnoses, treatments, and counseling to more than 3,500 patients each year. It is one of the largest clinical programs on the eastern seaboard.
